  1. Cough Neil, cough!
  2. old bastard..lol
  3. Love the irony in this song. This 'important' guy used to ride up and the town on his horse, then he croaked. Now, many years later there is a guy from the council who polishes his statue who couldn't give a toss or knows who he is. Absolutly sums up this life. Brilliant, thanks for posting!
  4. aww why isn't Neil in shorter short shorts? hahahaha.... XD
  5. God, I remember watching this on tv!
  6. awesome lol short shorts!!!! and the hair. my dad just bought the album 'Gorrila' its the first time hes seen it on cd, hes allready got it on vinyl lol
  7. Ahaha, I love the short shorts. xD
  8. hahahah yup
  9. I've heard him tell the story mentioning that as the song the Beatles were working on when he overheard them at Abbey Road. And no wonder - that is a marvellous key change!
  10. The BIg influence on Neil was the key change in George Harrison's "I Want To Tell You" - you can hear it throughout Neil's songs, (I know this from the big man himself - saw him in a gig in a private school in Rutland)
  11. And Neil Innes wityh hair, too!
  12. I always loved this song.
  13. I love how very phones in all the Bonzo's performances on 'do not adjust you set' were.
  14. neil is so sexyy
  15. Beatles meets Syd Barrett--great song!
  16. This doesn't sound like a copy of The Beatles to me. It sounds more like "Sunny Afternoon" by The Kinks...And the Bonzos did tour with The Kinks around this time. On another note, I love this video to death. Those boys were all so very fit, especially Neil and Viv. Phwoar.
  17. Neil Innes was pretty influenced by the Fabs after overhearing them in Abbey Road studio when the Bonzos were recording "My Brother Makes the Noises for the Talkies" in 1966, and of course the Bonzos were in Magical Mystery Tour, and he was a good friend of George Harrison's, not to mention Neil's music and performance in the Rutles! They speeded up Roger's trumpet to emulate the cornet solo at the end.
  18. BRILLIANT SONG GREAT TO HEAR IT AGAIN!
  19. This was their most deliberately Beatles-like song...I always wondered if they were poking fun at the Fab Four's more obscure songs.
  20. I forgot all about these guys, good stuff.
  21. It's an odd boy who doesn't like sport.
  22. Ah, just great! World Party look out!
  23. Amazing.
  24. aw, neil needs some lozenges
  25. my secret: my best of bests - its the messy solo in the middle.
